We received a new Pierce 100' bucket recently which we are currently working on getting trained on to get it in-service. The ladder truck was accrued through a federal grant for $750k. The City 10% match (75k) was contributed by several different independant supporters of us in town, thank you very much!  This replaces our 65' ladder truck made in 1983. This is the second new Pierce we've secured from federal grants in the last year, the other was an Engine that also replaced a 20+ year old truck..

We also received a federal Safer-Grant that would've paid the salary & benefits to the City for 2 Firefighter/Paramedics...The City turned this down because it had wording in the grant that prohibited layoffs, they are looking into budget cuts for the next fiscal year, which starts July 1st.
